1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible built on a frame-on restoration completed in 2010 with approximately 6,470 miles driven since completion. It is powered by a Pontiac 400 V8 engine equipped with a Comp Cam and lifters, paired with a 400TH 3-speed automatic transmission. The fuel system uses a Quick Fuel 650 CFM 4-barrel dual-pump carburetor with an Edelbrock polished aluminum intake manifold. Ignition and electrical upgrades include MSD HEI ignition, MSD Blaster coil, and a modern wiring setup.
The chassis and suspension have been fully rebuilt with new bushings, suspension components, and powder-coated or refinished parts. Upgrades include Hotchkis front coil springs, Hotchkis center X-brace, front power disc brakes, CPP braking components, and a GM 10-bolt rear axle. Exhaust system includes long-tube Doug’s ceramic-coated headers and a cross-over dual exhaust setup. The vehicle also features Vintage Air conditioning, power steering, and a power-operated convertible top.
Exterior is finished in driver-plus quality paint rated around 9/10 with minor chips and touch-ups. Body alignment is described as excellent with properly functioning doors, hood, and trunk. Chrome, trim, and exterior moldings are in restored condition, and all lighting and turn signals operate as designed. The car has been kept rust-free and garage-stored in Southern California since restoration.
